An extruder is used to manufacture profiles and hoses and consists of a heatable metal cylinder and a continuously rotating screw conveyor . The screw conveyor conveys and heats the rubber mixture from the entry into the cylinder (cold and viscous) to the exit through a profile or hose tool, the so-called injection disk (warm and flowable), and homogenizes it along the way. This is followed by the vulcanization section, which melts.
