Hose rings – a special form of sealing ring. KREMER supplies hose rings that are precisely adapted to your application and fulfil your high quality requirements. KREMER can supply the following material qualities for hose rings: EPDM, CR, NBR, HNBR, FPM/FKM (Viton®) and silicone.
The hose rings can be manufactured in different variants:
- Incision rings,
- ground hose rings,
- Conduit rings for cable glands,
and other designs. Single-cut rings are also known as "onion rings". They are ideal for use in standardised electrical components and are an economically interesting alternative to moulded seals. In contrast, ground conduit rings are particularly suitable for automatic assembly for strain relief in cable glands for electrical cables.
One of the biggest advantages of hose rings is their simple and cost-effective production: they are cut off by the slice from hose metres so that no tooling is required for the vast majority of dimensions. Customers from every conceivable industry appreciate this cost advantage.
But even comparatively simple sealing elements such as hose rings have to fulfil high requirements. Tight tolerances are often also required. Our basis for the production and cutting of hose rings are the applicable DIN 3302-1 standards for extrusion articles. In order to be able to adhere exactly to your limit dimensions, we often manufacture the hose rings on mandrels so that the dimensions of the inner diameter are very precise and uniform after removal from the mandrel. If, on the other hand, there are tight specifications regarding the outer dimensions, the hose is ground to the required size.
As you can see: The possible applications are diverse, and so are the wishes and priorities of our customers. However, the solution always lies in the detail. For example, it is not always necessary to produce on mandrels or to grind the hose rings if a high functional quality can be achieved in other ways. Let's talk about your requirements!
