Series production for the door and window industry and facade construction
An important sector in the KREMER customer portfolio is window and door manufacturers and facade construction. In this area, we work with our customers to develop series profiles for complete window and facade systems. Profiles made of Krevolan® and profiles made of Krevosil® are particularly suitable in these sectors. They are UV, ozone and weather resistant , which includes the effects of heat, cold, wind, rain and moisture.
Our profile experts take all circumstances into account when developing your profile made of EPDM Krevolan® or silicone Krevosil®. And before mass production begins, we can show you the profile geometries in detail using a 3D printed prototype measuring approximately 30 cm in length .
There are countless window, door and facade variants. And as numerous as these are, the solutions that we offer you at KREMER are just as numerous. Windows and doors must close tightly, facades must be windproof and waterproof. The profiles made of EPDM Krevolan® and silicone Krevosil® must be easy to install.
No matter what your series requirements are - whether interior doors or exterior doors, roof windows or standard windows - we will work closely with you to determine the perfect profile - for windows also as a frame-corner connection - and can offer you economical prices by choosing the right production method.
In the field of series production, KREMER is often asked to provide complete elastomer profile frames in different materials such as EPDM Krevolan® or silicone Krevosil®, which also include the foamed EPDM Krevolan® foam rubber or silicone foam variants . Since profiles are produced by the meter, cutting to length and preparation for corner vulcanization are required during the manufacture of the prefabricated profile rings or profile frames and other production steps.
EPDM Krevolan ® or silicone Krevosil ® profiles are indispensable in facade construction. When different components such as glass and steel have to be joined together, both the elastomer profiles specially tailored to the installation situation and the common EPDM standard profiles fulfil particularly important tasks. They even out unevenness, dampen, fill gaps, seal and are often also a design element. The requirements are correspondingly high when new series profiles are created.
In order to determine the exact design, geometry and material, we develop a prototype together with our customer in a co-engineering process - increasingly, a profile section is printed in advance using a 3D printing process from our 35 Shore A soft or 65 Shore A silicone-like material. This is quick and cost-effective.
But the delivery of an initial pre-series quantity of a profile made of EPDM Krevolan® or silicone Krevosil® from newly created series tools for test purposes can also take place within 2-3 weeks.
Large orders for greenhouses are a variation of facade construction. The tasks are certainly comparable. Particular requirements are resistance to cold, heat, moisture, humidity, ozone and sunlight. Profiles made of EPDM Krevolan® or silicone Krevosil® from KREMER are also successfully used in this sector and are therefore tried and tested.
In recent years, KREMER has manufactured a wide range of different profile cross-sections - many of these are customer-specific profile contours, which are therefore not freely available for sale. For this reason, we can only show you an excerpt from the profile catalog below.
