We know each other: KREMER products in your everyday life
Even if you have the feeling that you are meeting us for the first time, we are sure that we know each other!
Many everyday products function reliably thanks to our components. Usually invisible to the user, they ensure the smooth functioning of the respective product. These include, among others Dichtungen aus EPDM for any fittings or also TPE Dichtungen in insulated coffee and tea pots. But we are also usually close to you in the car or when looking out of the window.
See for yourself.

KREMER GmbH was founded in 1965 and has seen itself as a partner and supplier to industry ever since. The focus has always been on supplying the optimum products for the respective application: reliable, fast and flexible.
KREMER has been part of the REIFF Group since 1995. The Baden-Württemberg-based group of companies is family-owned and employs a total of around 870 people. Thanks to this strong background, we are in a position to act even more efficiently and strongly on the market for our customers.

KREMER combines innovation with tradition. With success.
Find out more about our long-standing tradition and our success stories

Because, firstly, things turn out differently and, secondly, than you think!
The history of KREMER GmbH begins with a renunciation. Wilhelm Kremer was born on 3 November 1927 in Udenhain and actually had completely different plans. He was a sales representative for plastics and adhesives and most recently the sales manager of a technical dealer based in Frankfurt. In order to improve his financial situation, he planned to move to Munich with his wife and take a better-paid job there.
As fate would have it, he discussed his future plans with a very good customer from his previous job. He then persuaded him to become self-employed. And so he gave up his secure job and became an entrepreneur at the age of 38.
The customer, a manufacturer of welding guns for the up-and-coming automotive body construction industry, was like a fatherly friend. He gave him all the orders for the supply of cable protection conduits. This gave the fledgling family business the support it needed in the form of orders and also in financial terms - because at the beginning of the business relationship, the customer was happy to pay in advance.

The business purpose of W. Kremer KG was the commercial agency for technical rubber and plastic parts. In 1965, various agencies for rubber and plastic products were supplemented by the establishment of a wholesale business.
The premises of the Kremers' private flat in Udenhain very quickly became too small. Two relocations within the town of Wächtersbach took place at close intervals. Firstly, the premises of a former bank were rented. Then the private house with adjoining business premises was built. The first trainees were taken on.
In the 1970s, the site in Kinzigstraße was developed and gradually extended with warehouses.

A milestone in the company's development!
Almost eleven years later, the company was renamed WKW Wilhelm Kremer jr. KG Gummi-, Kunststoff-, Fertigungstechnik. The object of the business was now no longer just the resale and distribution of rubber products, but also the manufacture, assembly and distribution of special technical rubber and plastic parts.
Thanks to this skilful combination of in-house production and the sale of purchased parts, KREMER has always been able to offer particularly economical solutions and products.
In 1988, the quality management system is introduced based on the DIN ISO series of standards.
KREMER was taken over by the REIFF Group in 1995. Since then, KREMER has complemented the REIFF Group's range as a subsidiary specialising in technical trade and the manufacture of rubber and plastic parts.
At the beginning of the 2010s, the 3D printing process revolutionised sealing technology - we were there right from the start and were already producing prototypes from various materials using 3D printing.

In 2015, KREMER celebrated its 50th anniversary. We are proud to have always seen economic change as an opportunity over the years and to have maintained our position in the market as a successful and innovative company. We have retained this changeability and adaptability to this day!
Our continuous, solid growth has been both analogue and digital: In 2019, KREMER started with a 1000 sqm extension for warehouse and logistics, and in September of the same year, the new kremer-tec.de website was relaunched.
KRELIPO, the KREMER delivery opportunities portal, has been offering our suppliers the opportunity to fully exploit their own sales potential since autumn 2022. The portal helps us to get to know our suppliers even better and make our collaboration more efficient and transparent. We are delighted that numerous suppliers are actively participating in KRELIPO.
At the turn of the year 2023 / 2024, there was a new start in the management at KREMER: After 35 years, Gregor Hämel left the company and went into well-deserved retirement. Tim Oettmeier, who has been with the company since 2014 and knows KREMER from the ground up, has taken over the baton.

The management at KREMER has been very consistent since the company was founded and has always focussed on the needs of our customers.
In November 2019, the long-standing Managing Director of the REIFF Group and Co-Managing Director of KREMER GmbH, Hubert Reiff, officially retired.
Gregor Hämel joined W. Kremer jr. KG in Wächtersbach in 1989 as an assistant to the management and developed the company into a specialist for technical series parts made of rubber, plastic and TPE. From the very beginning, his particular concern was the quality assurance and certification of the KREMER company. In 1995, the majority of the company was sold to the REIFF Group as part of the succession plan. Gregor Hämel became a co-partner and took over the management from company founder Wilhelm Kremer in 1996. He managed the company's fortunes until the end of 2023 and took his well-deserved retirement after a successful career.

Tim Oettmeier has been Managing Director of KREMER since January 2024. Most recently a management consultant with power of attorney, Tim Oettmeier has been with the company since 2014. As a management consultant, he was also prepared for his new role during a one-year assignment at the parent company REIFF in Reutlingen. He is continuing the tradition of good customer relations and is well prepared for future challenges thanks to his long association with KREMER.
KREMER combines innovative products and traditional values - a perfect combination!
Wilhelm Kremer began with the procurement and sale of protective rubber hoses for car body assembly lines. He discovered a market niche and specialised in the sector of welding machine and welding gun manufacturers. More and more hoses were sold to more and more customers. It was only a matter of time before enquiries came in for other product groups - which were then professionally realised by Wilhelm Kremer.
Product development is our strength
We love challenges: Over the years, we have created new products for numerous customers that never existed in this form before.
From hoses to complete assemblies - product highlights from KREMER
Our LABS-free hoses replace conventional rubber cable protection hoses in automatic welding machines, as the conventional hoses caused paint defects that were discovered after the bodies were dipped. LABS-free KREMER hoses ensure optimum and reliable results. The product range includes thin- and thick-walled hoses, with or without fabric inserts or electrically insulating.
The plasma polymerisation process was first tested by KREMER in 1999 to improve a joining process for rubber seals. The tests with plasmapolymerisierten O-Ringen,
in which talcum or Teflon was not desired as a lubricant were positive. The surface of the rubber material became smoother and the coefficient of friction was significantly reduced.
Own product groups
Innovation is our strength - this also includes various product groups developed by KREMER, with which we can offer our customers high-quality, cost-effective solutions. These include, for example, EPDM profiles made from Krevolan®, which are characterised by excellent resistance to weathering and ageing. With our own Krevosil® brand, we manufacture silicone profiles for door, window and façade construction as well as industrial applications. We are always on the lookout for new ideas and are constantly working on our product development.
PVC dipped parts from KREMER's own brand Krevosol® are used in many branches of industry because they can be produced in countless variations. Round caps, rectangular caps, dip coating of metal parts or dipped parts made of PVC with a fine-pored and skin-friendly surface - these are just a few examples of where Krevosol® is used. The special material with a pearl structure look gives the surface a better grip and a higher quality appearance. The advantage: it is a cost-effective alternative to expensive moulded part solutions.
With Krevolast®, KREMER offers another very economical own brand: Krevolast® is an attractive solution when the material FFKM has to be used. The O-rings made of FFKM / Krevolast® have, among other things, very good resistance to both low and very high operating temperatures and have a broad chemical resistance. When other elastomers reach their limits, O-rings made from Krevolast® function reliably.

The URIMAT assembly was a technical and logistical challenge for KREMER. KREMER produces and procures all individual parts for the Swiss company URIMAT, market leader for waterless urinals, and assembles them into the odour trap of the new TRAP siphon (odourless trap). URIMAT is a water-saving and therefore very environmentally friendly solution. The KREMER team worked closely with the customer during the development and design of the assembly. URIMAT contains plastic, silicone and rubber moulded parts from KREMER.

Quality is a top priority at KREMER
At KREMER, we strive every day to offer our customers the best possible solutions. Quality is our top priority - we offer economical solutions with the right quality. In doing so, we focus on the highest possible transparency towards our customers - we are proud of the many long-standing customer relationships that are based on trusting co-operation.
Since 1998, KREMER's quality management system has been regularly audited and certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001. The standard applies to the manufacture and sale of seals, moulded parts, O-rings, profiles, flat gaskets and assemblies made of rubber, plastic and TPE.
Optimise processes and conserve resources
We work continuously not only to optimise the quality of our products, but also strive to use valuable raw materials sparingly. KREMER has been certified to DIN EN ISO 14001 in the area of environmental management since 2004.
Time has not left us untouched: KREMER in the course of time
WKW Wilhelm Kremer once became KREMER, a company of the REIFF Group. Over the last few decades, we have adapted very dynamically to the constant new requirements and today see ourselves as an innovative driver in our business field. We constantly scrutinise our actions, update our processes and are mindful of the environment and ecology.
Our logos in transition

KREMER digital
During Wilhelm Kremer's lifetime, life was still completely analogue - hard to imagine in today's digital age. KREMER has also responded to this change while always keeping the needs of its customers in mind. KREMER's website was last relaunched in 2019 and we make sure that user-friendliness is our top priority. We are always available for our customers - not only online, but also in person. Because not only do many of our customers value human contact, but we at KREMER do too. With us, you get support from a personal advisor who has you and your needs in mind and is always available for you.
We are constantly on the lookout for new solutions - which is how the idea for our KRELIPO delivery opportunities portal came about. Since 2022, suppliers have been able to register here to find suitable projects even more quickly and easily. The platform enables uncomplicated access to many enquiries about moulded parts and seals. A real added value for our suppliers, who are given more flexibility. And the same applies here: personal contact is very important to KREMER - we are always available to talk to you in person.
For us, it goes without saying that we are socially committed - as a company, we bear responsibility both for our environment and for our fellow human beings. This starts with us within the company: the KREMER Code of Conduct is our ethical compass, with which we all commit ourselves to mutual respect and trust.
A strong team
At KREMER, all employees can really work up a sweat with a workout every week during working hours. Everyone can take part on a voluntary basis and do something for their health. However, it is not only the health of our employees that is important to us, but also good team spirit. In addition to the collegial and fair interaction with each other, this is also ensured by the barbecue during the lunch break, which takes place once a month.

Give joy
In our anniversary year 2015, we wanted to organise a special campaign and support a committed institution. But which project should it be among the many possibilities? We then remembered a tradition: Wilhelm Kremer supported the Bärenherz children's hospice in Wiesbaden when he was managing the company. And this is exactly where we wanted to help.
"Bärenherz" accompanies and cares for sick children for whom there is no hope of recovery. It is also important to support and lovingly accompany the families - parents, siblings and friends. This is not just about emotional support, but also about very practical things such as organisation within the family.
You can find more information about the hospice at https://www.kinderhospiz-wiesbaden.de/de/.

For every order received by KREMER, 50 cents were collected for the children's hospice in Wiesbaden. The children, their families and the hospice team need support, so every order counted. The result was a sum of 3,500 euros, which was handed over by Gregor Hämel on 4 December. We couldn't have finished our anniversary year in a better way!
