Plastic parts for the BICONIC golf caddy

With the BICONIC golf caddy from TiCad - winner of the reddot design award 2019 - Kremer is further expanding its product portfolio in the sports and leisure sector. KREMER is represented in the BICONIC with seven sealing and molded parts . The trolley has a delta handle with a cover made of special PVC material with a pearl structure look. This has the advantage that the handle fits particularly well in the hand and does not become slippery even in rain and moisture.

The parts are manufactured as diving caps, which means there are no additional tooling costs in production.

The non-slip bag supports are equipped with a rubber-metal connection with the customer's logo. The parking brake for golfing on slopes has a rubber molded part made of EPDM. KREMER uses a customer-specific multiple tool for this. The plastic molded part is made of ABS for a perfect fit and an attractive surface structure.

A scorecard holder is available as an accessory for the Biconic golf trolley. The plastic parts of the holder come from KREMER. They are manufactured with the highest precision with a non-slip surface and are made of ABS and PA6 plastic. All parts are made from just one tool.

Flight accelerator on a paraglider

Paragliders jump from mountain peaks on a glider made of coated nylon and, depending on the wind conditions, can sail up to 100 kilometers. In order to be able to control a paraglider optimally, a flight accelerator is also part of the equipment. Operating this "gas pedal" ensures that the front canopy of the glider lowers and the speed increases from 35 to 45 kilometers per hour .

When producing this flight accelerator, the manufacturers of free-spee had the problem of adjusting the accelerator safely and flexibly. The product designers from Subraumstudio in conjunction with KREMER finally found a solution: a silicone O-ring was the amazingly simple solution.

Arrow brake for archery

An arrow shot with a sports bow can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h and is slowed down to 0 km/h when it hits a wooden target. The arrow brake, which a bow manufacturer asked KREMER for, means that the arrow does not penetrate as deeply and the archer can pull it out more easily . The arrow brake is also designed to prevent the arrow from disappearing into the ground or bushes.

Based on the product idea and a sketch, our technical department developed an initial CAD design of the arrow brake. The material used had to be impact-resistant, flexible and sufficiently rigid.

The result is a plastic molded part made from a special plastic compound with an elastomer component. An EPDM O-ring complements the TopHat® APS (Arrow Protection System) and prevents the arrow from being destroyed when it hits the target. Platform cover on a climbing frame

Playground equipment must meet special requirements for stability and safety . Playground equipment manufacturers must meet many standards with regard to material quality and freedom from harmful substances . The choice of material is therefore highly relevant for the quality of the play equipment. Many aspects such as accident risks, durability, weather resistance and other external influences must be taken into account.

The platform covers supplied by KREMER had to withstand the elements and not become brittle or susceptible to breakage. The wind forces acting on the connecting elements also had to be taken into account. Accordingly, KREMER opted for a very flexible material. The material has a high degree of hardness in order to keep the deflection when the cover is stepped on as low as possible. In order to prevent vandalism, attention was also paid to impact resistance . The TPE material selected is weatherproof and can withstand heat, moisture, cold and UV radiation.
