If customers only have a material sample or a very old drawing of the desired product, we need some information before we can prepare a quotation. The following parameters are important:

• Quality of the drawing: we may already be able to use this to prepare a guide price offer
• Indication of the weight of the individual parts
• Elastomer (NBR, EPDM or similar)
• Degree of hardness (in Shore A)

If this information is not available, we need a sample part to analyse. We can often determine the raw material from which the respective items were manufactured. We can also determine the hardness. The product is analysed, measured and a drawing and a 3D data set are created based on the data obtained. Based on the 3D data created and the material identified, we calculate a tool and part price.

A successful example of a product based on a sample: We worked closely with Mr Nolte to reconstruct and further develop a rear damper for the motorbike dealer Maniac Motors from Nuremberg using a sample part. This rear damper was only available to us as a sample part and was measured and analysed by us and external service providers. The product is successfully used between the alternator drive and alternator in motorbikes.
