Daylight and photoluminescent PVC round caps

Great variety of colors

Round caps that light up day and night? KREMER has the answer. It is the color pigments that turn normal, colored dipped caps into striking red, yellow or green, so-called day-glowing round or rectangular caps. These are visible from afar and highlight what should not be overlooked. Day-glow colors are very easy to see during the day and have a signaling effect. In sudden darkness, for example in the event of a power failure, these colors are no longer visible.

Photoluminescent PVC round caps

The use of photoluminescent paints is recommended as a preventative measure for such emergencies. A special color pigment in the PVC caps and coatings absorbs the energy of the light and gradually releases it again, for example if the power fails in a production plant. The afterglow effect sets in. These color pigments thus contribute to occupational safety.

Equipped for emergencies

Special color pigments ensure safety in production halls and workshops when it suddenly gets dark. In emergencies, for example, photoluminescent PVC round caps allow the lever of a liquid valve that is still open to be recognized by the worker and closed manually before something worse happens. Luminescent PVC round caps are particularly important in companies that work with acids and alkalis. In the event of an accident, even damaged eyes can still see this color. Although the afterglow diminishes in the dark, the green color is still visible for a very long time. In extreme situations, photoluminescent PVC round caps can therefore save lives.

Suitable for many applications

The color pigment can be mixed into all PVC Krevosol types without negatively affecting the material. It is suitable for phthalate-free Krevosol types for medical or orthopaedic applications as well as for the biocompatible Krevosol 1649. However, ESD applications cannot be dyed, as the electrical surface resistance is only generated with the color black.
