Sealing pads for facade projects
KREMER has manufactured customised sealing cushions made of EPDM cellular rubber for a façade construction company.
Minimise energy losses
The sealing pads we produce are made of medium-strength EPDM cellular rubber and are used as sealing elements in aluminium profiles by façade and window manufacturers. They prevent water and cold air from entering the cavities of frame, saddle, transom and mullion profiles. Sealing pads help to minimise energy losses. We have supplied over 150 different geometries of such customised sealing cushions to a globally active façade construction company from the Heilbronn area and their sometimes spectacular façade projects.
Customised using the waterjet cutting process
We cut sealing cushions from blocks and sheets according to the customer's DXF data using a water jet cutting process. The closed-cell EPDM cellular rubber with the designation 4216 is characterised by an average material weight of 90 - 140 kg/m³ with very low water absorption of a maximum of 5% and a wide application temperature range of -40/to +85 °C.
