Gap size

The gap is the distance between two adjacent components . The general rule is: "The smaller the gap, the higher the quality of the product." In automobile construction, smaller gaps mean less air resistance. When using seals such as O-rings, gaps that are too large in combination with high pressure and soft sealing elements can result in gap extrusion.
