FFKM
perfluoro rubber (Krevolast)
A high performance elastomer with excellent chemical properties similar to PTFE and the elastic properties of FPM . Use in fluorine-containing compounds or elemental fluorine is not permitted.
FFKM is a very cost-intensive material that is used for O-rings and rotationally symmetrical molded parts and seals in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The trademarks KALREZ® , CHEMRAZ®, SIMRIZ® are examples of perfluorocarbon rubber (FFKM for short).
The temperature range of the different FFKM types ranges from +330 to -40°C for static applications.
Applications : Due to its high thermal and chemical resistance, Krevolast perfluoro-FFKM rubber is mainly used as a material for O-rings, seals and molded parts. In addition to the standard compounds, special compounds with Norsok, explosion decompression, FDA and high purity approvals are also available.

Disposal
According to the “Regulation on the European Waste Catalogue (AVV)”, the waste product from FFKM can be classified according to Chapter 7 “Wastes from organic chemical processes” and the waste code 07 02 99. This waste code stands for waste classified as non-hazardous.
They can therefore be disposed of in normal household quantities with normal household waste. Please use the container provided by your public waste disposal authority for residual waste as the appropriate disposal container.
