Round becomes square: wine barrels from rebarriQue

We at KREMER love innovative ideas: So we are all the more delighted to be working with the company rebarriQue from Hochstadt. rebarriQue manufactures reusable oak barrels (= barriques) for storing fine distillates and wines.
The highlight: the company's wine barrels are not round, but square, can be quickly dismantled and used several times - sometimes for decades. This makes the barrels particularly space-saving and sustainable. This means less deforestation and fewer transport emissions.
The company received the "Rhineland-Palatinate Innovation Award - Special Prize of the Minister of Economic Affairs 2021" for this product innovation. KREMER has supplied 3 mm-thick, food-grade silicone frame seals for the drums. We are delighted to be able to play our part in revolutionising the 300,000-year-old wine barrel tradition.
RNF.de has produced a film about this innovative product entitled 'Das Runde geht auch im Eckigen: Barrique wines from Bellheim'. Watch it now!
