Small parts, big impact – O-rings for the Faller Ferris wheel
When the Ferris wheel starts turning at the miniature fair, a small but crucial component from KREMER is behind it: the drive O-ring. We supply custom-fit O-rings in size 40 × 1 mm – made from high-quality silicone – for the nostalgic steam Ferris wheel of our customer FALLER GmbH.

The steam Ferris wheel is part of the Faller model world in H0 scale (1:87) and impresses with its filigree appearance and detailed mechanics. To ensure that the Ferris wheel runs reliably, it needs a durable and elastic drive belt – this is exactly where our silicone O-rings come into play.

The silicone material used has the ideal properties for use in model making:
- Long-term elasticity: Silicone remains flexible even after years of use – perfect for a planned service life of 10 years or more.
- No media resistance required: Since the O-ring does not come into contact with oils, chemicals or weather conditions, the focus is on mechanical durability.
- No premature embrittlement: Unlike cheaper rubber compounds, silicone retains its functionality for a long time even at room temperature.
