The luminaire manufacturer RZB Rudolf Zimmermann, Bamberg GmbH presents an impressive selection of robust yet elegant products that have proven themselves for decades as reliable outdoor lighting in all weather conditions.

The customer presented us with an exciting requirement for the 2-in-1 combinations with integrated wallbox: A multi-part combination housing needed to be fitted with seals of different sizes as efficiently as possible. Our product also needed to group the required seals together and fix them in place in a captive manner.

The solution was to develop a set of gaskets consisting of various frames that connect the self-supporting gaskets with micro-bridges. The sealing sets were manufactured using a water jet process from cellular material with a self-adhesive film. This is because, unlike punching, even very soft and cellular sealing materials can be cut without deformation using the WSS process.
