NR
Natural rubber, styrene-butadiene copolymer (NR, SBR)
Rubber trees grown in plantations are the raw material supplier of a white, watery milk (latex) from which natural rubber is extracted. There are currently initial efforts to extract NR from the milk found in dandelion flower stalks, so to speak from German growing areas.
NR has very high tensile strength, elasticity, cold flexibility and excellent dynamic properties. However, without the addition of appropriate protective agents, its resistance to aging and ozone is low. It is not resistant to mineral oils and greases.
Temperature range : -40 to +80°C
Applications : car tires, seals, hoses, membranes, sponges, shoe soles, rubber boots, gloves.
