Foam rubber

Foam rubber is manufactured on the basis of natural or synthetic rubber. The structure is predominantly open-pored , while the outer skin is very dense and closed. This gives a profile seal very good protection against external influences. However, if the surface is damaged, there is a high probability that the entire seal will become saturated with water due to the open cell structure of the material.
