Flat gasket

The flat gasket is a flat, static sealing element that is often used in apparatus engineering and pipeline construction. The shape and material vary depending on the area of application. Due to their shape, flat gaskets are extremely inexpensive to manufacture and are often produced as stamped parts or water jet-cut. A widely used type of flat gasket is the washer.
