Elastomer

Elastomers are soft to hard plastics that are nevertheless elastically deformable and whose glass transition point is below the operating temperature. In very cold temperatures they can freeze as hard as glass, but their elasticity increases when heat is applied. After being subjected to pressure, elastomers return almost to their original shape. The most common elastomers include EPDM , NBR , CR and silicone .
